Called also cryostimulation. It is a short, 1-3 min long, application of an intensive chill stimulus to a specific part of the body in the temperature of -160°C, with the aim to cause a physiological body reaction. It has an analgesic, anti-inflammatory and decongestive effect. Cryostimulation improves clinical and functional condition of the patients, reduces the duration of the rehabilitation, and accelerates recovery.
