The "Zimne Wody" Nature Reserve is a picturesque area located just 2 km from the center of Busko-Zdrój, making it an excellent destination for a short trip for guests of the Bristol Hotel.
The reserve is characterized by a diverse landscape consisting of hills and mounds intersected by numerous paths. A special attraction is the springs of crystal-clear, cold water flowing from gypsum rocks, from which the reserve takes its name.
Within the "Zimne Wody" area, there are two geological natural monuments:
- Gypsum Crystals – unique geological formations resulting from karst processes occurring in gypsum.
- The Spring – which gives rise to a small stream with exceptionally clean and cold water.
The flora of the reserve is equally fascinating. Rare plant species such as the spring gentian, stemless carline thistle, and flat-leaved globe thistle can be found here.
For nature lovers and those enjoying walks, the reserve also offers magnificent views. Walking through its grounds, visitors can admire the panorama of the Borzykowska Basin, the Szaniecki Plateau, and, on a clear day, even the Świętokrzyskie Mountains.
The path to the reserve is easy to follow – a road approximately 600 meters long leads from Stawowa Street in Busko-Zdrój, which can be walked. Due to the natural character of the paths, comfortable sports footwear is recommended.
The "Zimne Wody" Nature Reserve is an ideal place for a relaxing walk in nature, away from the hustle and bustle of the town, and its proximity makes it easily accessible for guests of the Bristol Hotel.
