Graduation tower

Graduation tower

Just 350 meters from the Bristol**** Art and Medical SPA hotel, in the Spa Park, there is the Busko Zdrój brine graduation tower. Designed in a modern, minimalist style on a circular plan, it has a circumference of 226 m. The graduation tower consists of two rings, in the heart of which there is a mist fountain. Walking through it may resemble wandering in a maze. At the top of the structure there is an observation deck from where we can see, among others: the historic part of the park and the mineral water pump room. The building also has an orangery with stunning exotic plants and a relaxation area.

How does a brine graduation tower work?

Brine graduation towers are wooden buildings whose walls are covered with an intricate structure of coniferous trees and blackthorn branches. Healing brine water, rich in sodium ions, magnesium salts, as well as iodine and bromine compounds, is pumped to the top of the structure, from where it then slowly flows down by gravity. Water drops break on the branches, creating an aerosol and thus a microclimate rich in the elements contained in the brine.

The microclimate created by the graduation tower is similar to the one we can enjoy during a holiday at the seaside. During an hour-long session in the graduation tower, our body absorbs as much iodine as we would absorb during a three-day sunbathing on the Baltic Sea.

Who are the saving elements for?

Saturated brine air has a wide range of therapeutic applications. The brine graduation tower in Busko Zdrój should primarily be used by people suffering from chronic or recurrent respiratory diseases, patients with bronchial asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and after illnesses caused by the COVID19 virus.

Sessions in the graduation tower will be beneficial for people suffering from microelement deficiency and those with a weakened immune system. The specific microclimate is also used to prevent hypertension, vegetative neurosis and chronic fatigue syndrome.

Inhalations help cleanse the respiratory tract, so they are recommended for people living in large urban agglomerations, where the air is polluted with smog, working in a highly dusty environment, and for those struggling with allergies. A stay in the graduation tower relieves the work of the kidneys and liver. Magnesium and copper contained in the brine spray improve metabolism, and selenium cleanses our body of free radicals.

How to use a graduation tower?

Brine inhalations must last at least 30 minutes, but to fully benefit from the microclimate in the graduation tower, we should allocate an hour for the session. It is recommended that the treatment be repeated regularly, preferably every day. By walking vigorously around the graduation towers, we stimulate blood circulation in the body, thanks to which the precious elements will be quickly transported throughout the body.

It is worth knowing that the best time to use the graduation tower is on a warm but windy day. Evaporation of brine water during rain is minimal, and at night the air around the graduation towers almost completely loses its properties.

Contraindications

Unfortunately, not everyone can inhale brine vapors. Treatment in the graduation tower should be avoided by people who have recently had a heart attack, those suffering from cancer, patients with coronary vascular insufficiency and allergies to the brine components.

Saline inhalations should not be used by those who have problems with hyperthyroidism.
